I got a buddy of mine that tells me that using wrist straps for dumbell rows is cheating because your not really lifting the weight. I did 100 12 times with straps on then told him. He considers it cheating just like shooting up test before a workout (I know its not that bad but..). Without using the straps i can only do 100 5 times because my finger strength isnt at par with my upper back strength.
I know so many guys use these things when doing maximal lifts, and i understand the point to it. But just out of curiosity, what do you guys think?
straps are because it weakens your grip. chalk just dries your hands and back brace just protects your back while doing dead lifts and squats.
i do 115 12x without any of that stuff i am 18 170ish pounds.
